Job Title: Software Developer for the Client Services Technology
Location: 3 International Drive, 3rd Floor, Rye Brook, NY 10573

Responsibilities
As a Senior Software Developer at OpHedge, you will be crucial in helping us meet our mandate for exceptional client service and maintaining our reputation as the premier services firm in the industry.

• Develop trade processing, P&L calculation, trade reconciliations and other workflow related applications as well as client reporting
• Support and maintain the in-house developed and vendor software in the production environment
• Manage entire software lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, deployment and documentation
• Cultivate and disseminate knowledge of application development best practices
• Communicate to the application software vendors on defects and keep track on the fixes
• Support existing systems and work on special projects as needed
  

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• At least 4+ years of development experience in JAVA based applications
• Financial product knowledge and fixed-income derivatives system or hedge fund back office system development experience
• Strong Object-Oriented design and implementation skills
• Strong project management and multi-tasking capability
• Strong MS Excel Macro experience
• Skilled and experienced in the use of various applications including Java, Javascript, HTML, XML, DTS/ISS, Oracle and SQL Server
• Operating System experience with Linux, Windows XP and 2000/2003
• Working knowledge of Web Services and Service Oriented Architecture
• Experience in Crystal report and Business Objects software
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and good client interfacing skills
• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Highly logical, self motivated and keen attention to detail
• Ability to work well independently or as a member of a team
