Peter Sanchez, Chief Executive Officer. Peter Sanchez brings to OpHedge 21 years of industry management experience devoted to operational support and infrastructure development. Mr. Sanchez previously held senior management positions at Royal Bank of Canada Capital Markets, where he ran Global Prime Brokerage Services and more recently served as Global Head of Wholesale Operations, managing 1700 operations professionals in the U.S., Canada, Europe and Asia, while having direct responsibility for fixed income and MBS operations, all derivatives and structured products operations, mutual funds operations, shareholder and fund accounting, loan operations, and U.S. and Canadian brokerage operations. Earlier in his career, Mr. Sanchez served as Head of Global Operations at Greenwich NatWest/Greenwich Capital and held a senior Operations management position at Salomon Brothers. Mr. Sanchez graduated from Princeton University with a degree in Economics.
Edward Martinson, Chief Operating Officer. Before joining OpHedge, Ed Martinson served as Managing Director of Finance and Operations at Oak Hill Platinum Partners, LLC, where his responsibilities included management of the company's operational and financial reporting infrastructure. Previously, Mr. Martinson was a Manager at Moore Capital Management Inc., where he oversaw all aspects of Fund Accounting. Prior to that, he was employed by KPMG Peat Marwick’s New York Financial Services practice, specializing in large multi-national broker dealers and investment companies. Mr. Martinson graduated with a B.S. in Accounting from Manhattan College.
Jeff Li, Head of OpHedge Shanghai and global CIO. Jeff Li has served as OpHedge's Chief Technology Officer since the company's inception, and has been a member of the firm's Executive Operatiing Committee, Strategy and Risk Committees. In 2009, Jeff relocated to Shanghai to head the company's Shanghai office and to assume oversight responsibility for OpHedge's Asian initiative. Jeff joined OpHedge after serving as Vice President of the Equity Quantitative Strategies Group of Goldman Sachs & Co., where he oversaw Risk Management, Auto Trading technologies for Program Trading. Prior to his Goldman Sachs employment, Mr. Li was a senior architect at Long Term Capital Management. Mr. Li holds an M.S., Computer Science, University of San Francisco; M.S., Electronic Engineering, Zhongshan University, P. R. China; and B.S., Physics, Zhongshan University, P. R. China. He also completed the M.I.T. Sloan Executive Program in Management and Leadership.
Robert A. Harris, General Counsel and Chief Administrative Officer. Rob Harris is responsible for all OpHedge legal and compliance matters, as well as having oversight responsibility for certain business matters. Mr. Harris joined OpHedge following a 23 year career at Zeldes, Needle & Cooper, one of Connecticut’s premier law firms, where he served for a number of years as managing shareholder, and was recognized as one of six Connecticut “Power Attorneys” by Corporate Connecticut magazine. An experienced arbitrator and mediator, Mr. Harris served as Chair of the Connecticut Bar Association’s Section on Alternative Dispute Resolution. He graduated from Haverford College and received his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law.
